The Community Participation Support program at MCFL broadens the types of life-long learning experiences available to individuals by offering services such as:

1. Prevocational Skills​ - Increasing potential for hiring by offering job readiness training & employment assistance to develop basic skills to pursue competitive integrated employment

​2. Adult Education - Developing & sustaining a range of valued social roles and core competencies in relationships to foster self-determination & self-advocacy

​3. Volunteering - Selecting & participating in community volunteer opportunities

​4. Health & Wellness - Participation in community opportunities related to the development of hobbies or leisure/cultural interest to promote healthy lifestyles (e.g classes, groups, hikes, outdoor recreation)

My Choice For Living provides individualized support plans to engage our consumers in the community based on their interests. In developing the individualized plans, we work with family, teachers, and other community members to ensure a holistic support system for optimal success and development.

Our wide-range of community based activities are available to individuals residing with other provider agencies in community homes as well as those who are in life-sharing arrangements, living independently or in their family's home. The supports help individuals to become more connected to the community and enhance their quality of life.
